Take this with a grain of salt folks… according to Latino Review (they’ve been pretty spot on with past exclusives, somewhat) they’ve got the info on the 5 roster team that will make the cut in DC’s Justice League film for 2015. They are as follows:

1. Batman

2. Superman

3. Wonder Woman

4. Green Lantern

5. Flash

The website also claims that fan favorites like Aquaman, Martian Manhunter and even Hawkman will at least get cameos or easter eggs in the film.

We do know the film will supposedly feature Darkseid as the main villain and that Crisis on New Genesis (JLA #183-185) could possibly be some of the inspiration for this new tale. If this all comes to pass then having a starting 5 man team isn’t such a bad idea, sure I’ll miss the hell out of Aquaman and Manhunter but I can see why going with less can be a good idea (Avengers movie roster anyone?) but I’m a little bummed that Cyborg didn’t make the cut in this (that we know of). He’s quickly become a favorite JL member in the new 52 and he’s proved himself a valuable asset for the League (maybe they’ll acquire him mid movie?).

I’m also disappointed that Aquaman isn’t in the initial list but keep in mind they are planning an Aquaman movie for 2016 so he could be shown or teased during the course of the movie. Hawkman, what can I say we aren’t really big fans of his but he’s iconic enough that a cameo could suffice. But hey just as long as the final product is good, I don’t mind what they do with our Super Friends.
